Essay on Netaji Subash Chandra Bose


Introduction:-  Subash Chandra Bose was a great hero of India. He was born at Cuttack in Orissa on 23rd January 1897. His father Janakinath Bose was a famous lawyer. His mother was Pravabati Devi. He was very much devoted to his parents.
Education:-  He completed his school education in Ravenshaw Collegiate School and studied at the Presidency college in Kolkata. He was very clever, intelligent and also meritorious. He was influenced by Swami Vivekananda. After obtaining an honours degree from Calcutta University he went to England to appear at the I.C.S. He came out with success.

Life and work:-  India was then under the British rule. Mahatma Gandhi launched the Non-co-operation Movement against the British rule. It attracted Subash Bose. His heart was filled with patriotic feeling. He refused to serve under the foreign rulers. The ideals of Deshabandhu Chittaranjan influenced him much. He joined the National Congress and became its President. Fearing a fierce agitation the British Government imprisoned him.
Achivements:-  As he wanted to launch a different struggle for freedom the elder leaders did not like his revolutionary spirit. He left the congress. He felt that the Indians would never achieve Independence by non-violent means. He wanted to fight directly with the British Government. He was kept in house arrest when the second world war began. But he fled away in disguise. He sought foreign help to make India free. In 1939 he formed the Forward Block.
He reached Germany and organized a National Army in Europe. Then he came to Singapore and formed the Azad Hind Fouz. He established his Azad Hind Government with the help of Japan he came to India. His army fought against the British forces. He hoisted the Freedom Flag at Imphal in Manipur.
Conclusion:-  But it is a matter of regret that Subhas met his untimely death on 18th August 1945 while he was in the plane to Russia. "Jai Hind" was his main slogan. He was well known as Netajee.

ENGLISH ESSAY NON-VIOLENCE


(Introduction, What is non-violence, Why it is necessary, Some exponents of non-violence, Conclusion) : 

Non-violence is a divine quality. It is said that one who is nonviolent is nearest to god. The person who avoids violence in every walk of his life and who is good and kind to all is a non-violent one.

One who does not kill living beings such as men and animals, does not hurt them, does not terrorise anyone and does not think ill of others is a non-violent person. Non-violence means not to be violent in thought and action.

All men, animals and other creatures are the creation of God. All should live together happily without any dispute. All have equal right to do his own work. One should not have any interference in an other's work. One should not take away other's life. If we take the violence our souls will be defiled and we will not be able to reach the God after our death. Violence is not a virtue. It is a vice. It is not justified on any ground.
There were many exponents of non-violence in India. Mahavir Jain and his followers were strictly nonviolent. They were wearing this pieces of clothes on their nostrils fearing that warms might get into their bodies.

Gautam Buddha was the champion of nonviolence. He preached non-violence until his death. Ashok became non-violent after the Kalinga war and preached non-violencein side and out side of India. He stopped animal killings in side his kingdom.

Mahatma Gandhi was an ardent worshipper of truth and non-violence. He practised and preached non-violence through out his life. According to him non-violence is stronger than violence. He defeated the British rulers with the weapons of truth and non-violence. He made India free from the clutches of the Britishers without any blood shed.

All should be non-violent. It is one of the highest virtues. One should not pain men and animals. One should not assault or annoy others.

SPRING SEASON


Introduction:- Spring is the most charming season. It is honored as the king of the seasons. It falls between winter and summer and rules over the months of March and April. During spring the nature appear in her best clothing.
 
Description:- Trees and creepers become beautiful with new leaves and flowers. The cuckoo sings sweet songs and the gentle south breeze blows slowly. People welcome this season with happiness as they feel relieved of sufferings caused by the biting cold of winter. Fragrant flowers of different colors bloom and their sweet smell is carried to us from far and near and fills our minds with joy. Bees hum. Butterflies dance with the flowers. Mango trees are in full blossoms in the Spring.

Advantages:- The whole atmosphere is calm and pleasant in spring. There is a note of joy every where. The full moon night is very pleasant. People do many kinds of festivity. They sing, dance and make merry. Spring has roused high level poetic imagination in the minds of our poets. The famous Hindu festival Dolayatra comes off during spring. People sing devotional songs and dance in joy smearing Avir on each others face.

Disadvantages:- Though very pleasant spring has some vices. Small pox is very common in this season. Chicken pox and measles are also found.

Conclusion:- Spring brings health and beauty. Its existence in the earth is very short.

WINTER SEASON



Introduction:-
 Winter is the cold season of the year. It begins in the month of November and ends in the advent of March. People feel much cold during the months of January and February. Cold wind blows from the North.

Description:-
The sky becomes free of clouds. The atmosphere is dry. Trees shed their leaves and look bald. Nature looks dull. The winter sun is mild and warm.
Dew falls at night and mist appears in the morning. The nights become longer. People like to bask in the sun.


Advantages:-
Winter is the time of harvest. Paddy, wheat, maize are ripen in this season. The farmers become very happy. While reaping and harvesting corn people sing songs. Many fruits and vegetables are available in the market. People grow cabbages, carrot, cauliflowers, potatoes, brinjals, tomatoes in plenty.

Disadvantages:-
The poor people suffer a lot form the bitting cold. The rich people have their warm clothes. The poor live bare in their huts. Winter is good for health. Man can work hard for a long time. It is the best time for outings and excursions. Many festivals like Maker (Dhanu Sankranti), Christmas, Id, Basanta Panchami are observed in this season. Cricket, volley, basket ball and hockey matches are played.

Conclusion:-
Winter is a season of plenty. It is the harbinger of the Spring It is welcomed  by all.

THE RAINY SEASON


Introduction:-
The rainy season comes after the Summer. It begins from the middle of June and continues till October. The south west monsoon wind starts blowing and comes over the seas. It contains huge quantities of water vapour which condenses into cloud and comes down as rain.

Description:-
The rainy season removes the heat of summer. It provides plenty of water. Crops and vegetables grow. Cattle get a lot of grass to graze. The earth wears a green sari. Trees and creepers are filled with new leaves. The rainbow is seen in the sky. Peacocks dance in joy. The farmers become busy in their fields. Children love to get drenched in the rain and float paper boats in running streams.

Advantages:-
Sometimes it rains for days together. Lightening flashes and thunder roars in the sky. Nature becomes beautiful with the flowers of Ketaki,Kadamba and Hena. Tanks, canals, wells, rivers are filled with water. Fish is available in plenty. The rain washes away dirt and filth. Vegetables grow in plenty.

Disadvantages:-
Due to heavy rainfall flood comes in rivers, It sweeps away villages. A lot of men and cattle are drowned. People face difficulties to work out side. Communications are cut off. Some die of thunder stroke and snake-bite. Cholera breaks out in many places.

Conclusion:-
The rainy season is a great friend of farmers. It is the maker of food and giver of water. People celebrate the car festival with joy. Without it there can be no life on earth.
