THE VILLAGE LIBRARY

Books are our best friends. We can find many kinds of books in libraries. Public libraries are established in most of the towns and cities. There is no library in most of the villages. We are lucky enough to have a good library in our village
The name of our village library is Madhu Pathagar or Madhusudan library. It is an institution. It posses a suitable house. There is also a reading room.
There are a good number of books in our library. The books are kept in Almirahs. There are some shelves for newspapers and various magazines. Daily papers and magazines come to our library. People come to the library in the evening to read the newspapers, magazines and books. The library opens at 6 P.M. evening and closes at 9 P.M.
The library is managed by a committee. A member of this committee acts as the librarian. He opens the library everyday in time.
Our library gets books through Raja Ram Mohan Foundation and monetary assistance by the government. An adult education certre is opened in the library premises. The library celebrates its foundation day with much pomp.
Our library is a noble institution for all.
