YOUR VILLAGE MARKET

(Introduction, Situation, Description, Conclusion)
There is a market in my village Haripur. It is a centre place. People of nearby ten villages come to this market. It sits twice a week such as on Tuesday and Saturday. It starts at 10 A.M. and ends at about 8 P.M.
.         The village market sits in a vast plain on the bank of a river. Some sheds are constructed by the Gram Panchayat and allotted to the villagers. Most of the transactions are done under the open sky. There is a toll house in the market place. The toll collector collects tolls from the people who come to sell their articles. There is a police outpost near the market. The police controls the law and order situation at the time of disputes among the people.
Things like grains, cereals, oilseeds, spices, oil, ghee, salt, fruits, vegetables, greens, grass ware, hardware, pottery, carpentry goods, cooking utensils, aluminum articles, books-papers, stationeries, grocery, confectionery, textile goods, herbal medicines, fish, dry  fishes are sold in this market. There are different rows for different kinds of article. The smiths open their smithies for the day. The repairers open their workshops. Now chats, fast foods are available in this market.
The market produces a great noise. The dealers shout their articles at the top of their voice. The buyers ask the rates and haggle for a long time. Some people shout the names of their missing mates and children. Sometimes auctions are made.
The village market is a great advantage for the village people. It keeps direct relation between the consumers and producers. People can sell and buy their things easily. The market place should be cleaned by the Panchayat.
